Biography

Louisa Thompson is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Brown University. She is also an Assistant Professor in Family Medicine and serves as the Associate Director of Research at the Memory Aging Program at Butler Hospital. Dr. Thompson investigates the application of smartphone apps and other novel digital tools to enhance cognitive screening for older adults. Her research has been supported by K23 grants from the National Institute on Aging and includes collaborations on various studies aimed at identifying cost-effective methods for early ADRD detection. Throughout her career, she has published on remote and high-frequency smartphone assessments and the validation of cognitive screening tools for Alzheimer's disease detection.
