Biography

Louise Eriksson is a researcher in environmental psychology at Umeå University. She has a focus on understanding individual drivers, barriers, attitudes, and behaviors that impact the natural environment. Her research interests include sustainable behavioral change and the interaction of behavior and policy. Currently, she is involved in an interdisciplinary project studying geese management, examining interest groups' attitudes and behaviors to achieve sustainable practices. Eriksson has also worked on projects related to forest transitions and the perception of risks among forest actors in light of climate change. She defended her PhD thesis in psychology in 2008 and was appointed docent in 2016. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with both social science and natural science researchers, as well as practitioners in interdisciplinary contexts. She has supervised students at both the bachelor and master levels.
