Biography

Louise McCallum is a Senior Lecturer in Nursing and Health Care at the University of Glasgow, where she also serves as the Deputy Head of the Nursing & Health Care School. She is the Programme Director for the Bachelor of Nursing (Honours) and is responsible for curriculum development and maintaining the quality of the undergraduate program. Louise has extensive clinical experience in critical care, having worked in various intensive care environments across the United Kingdom, including King's College Hospital and University Hospital Birmingham NHS Trust. She holds a PhD in Nursing and Midwifery from Dundee University and emphasizes research surrounding work-related stress and its implications for the wellbeing of critical care nurses. Louise is also active in supervising undergraduate and postgraduate dissertation students and supports transnational education including in Singapore.
