Biography

Luca Girello is a scholar and educator specializing in Patristics and the history of theology. He has served as the director of the liturgical office of the Diocese of Vigevano since 2013 and has been teaching courses on Patristics and the history of theology at the Theological Faculty of Northern Italy since 2014. His pastoral experience includes being a parish priest for four Christian communities since 2016. Girello was ordained as a presbyter in the Diocese of Vigevano in 2006 and has held various roles within the church, including vice-parish priest and youth assistant. His academic qualifications include a Bachelor in Theology from the Theological Faculty of Northern Italy and a licentiate in liturgy from the Pontifical Athenaeum of Saint Anselm in Rome. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in theology and patristic sciences at the Lateran Pontifical University, having completed all qualifying coursework and examinations. Also, he has an extensive bibliography that includes significant contributions to liturgical studies and theology published in various academic journals and books.
