Biography

Lucas Driskell, PsyD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at Yale School of Medicine. A clinical neuropsychologist, Dr. Driskell specializes in neuropsychological evaluations for diverse neurologic populations, focusing on conditions such as stroke, cardiac arrest, cerebrovascular diseases, and neurodegenerative diseases. His research interests primarily pertain to the relationship between brain and heart health. He is involved in advancing education, training, and advocacy within the specialty of neuropsychology, serving on state, national, and international psychology and neuropsychology organizations. Dr. Driskell is a cofounder of KnowNeuropsychology, an organization dedicated to the international exchange of scientific knowledge and equitable access to neuropsychological education. He completed his doctoral education at Nova Southeastern University, where he received the Student of the Year Award from the College of Psychology and was a finalist for NSU’s Student Life Achievement Award. Following his internship in neuropsychology rehabilitation psychology at Baylor College of Medicine, he completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Neurology at the University of Virginia. In 2023, Dr. Driskell was awarded the Distinguished Early Career Psychologist Award by the Connecticut Psychological Association.
