Biography

Lucas Ferrari Gerez is a lecturer in Biomedical Engineering at the James Watt School of Engineering, University of Glasgow. He obtained his PhD from the University of Auckland in New Zealand, focusing on the development of wearable exoskeletons to enhance grasping capabilities. His research interests include improving the quality of life for people through the development of rehabilitation devices and assistance for daily life. Specifically, he focuses on areas such as the development of soft exoskeletons, assistive devices for limited mobility, and simple robotic hands for dexterous manipulation.
