Lucas Moe has a dedicated career in higher education, specifically in career coaching, which he began in 2012. He initially worked as a Work and Family Life Consultant for the Department of the Navy, where he managed the Transition Assistance Program. In this role, he aided clients in identifying their career interests, crafting effective application packages, and implementing successful job search strategies. His work involved assisting clients in networking, mastering interview techniques, and negotiating salaries, and he found the process of transitioning from military life to civilian careers to be extremely rewarding. Originally from Hawaii, Moe moved to Washington in 2019 after spending three years living in Italy. He is deeply committed to the principles of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI), coincidentally sharing a name with a famous Star Wars character. Outside of his professional responsibilities, Moe is an avid volleyball player, inspired by his maternal grandfather, who was a captain of the Men's Olympic Volleyball team from 1964 to 1968, and he actively competes in local tournaments and coaches volleyball teams.
