Lucinda R. Sanders is an adjunct professor of Landscape Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania and the CEO of OLIN. She earned her EdD from Insight University in 2018, an M.L.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1989, and a B.A. from Wells College in 1975. A Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects, Lucinda has led several prominent projects, including the Pier 26 Hudson River Park in New York City and the 30th Street Station District Plan in Philadelphia, both of which received national AIA awards for regional urban design. She is currently working on the South Wetlands Park project along the Delaware River in Philadelphia and the Origin Park project in Southern Indiana, aimed at transforming 650 acres of degraded land into a rich natural and cultural asset along the northern shore of the Ohio River. Lucinda is also a co-founder of OLIN LABS, OLIN's in-house research practice that focuses on evidence-based, public interest design to create humane and livable environments in the 21st century. She is dedicated to advancing the field of landscape architecture and urban design through various academic boards and initiatives, including co-creating and facilitating the Landscape Architecture Foundation’s Fellowship in Innovation and Leadership to cultivate the next generation of leaders in the profession.
