Biography

Lucy Natarajan is an Associate Professor at the Bartlett School of Planning, University College London (UCL). She has a background in quantitative and qualitative research and has conducted major research programs with stakeholders from public, private, and charitable sectors. Natarajan founded the Place Alliance and has been actively involved in several significant research initiatives, including the UK's Low Income Diet & Nutrition Survey and the International Participatory Charter by the Habitat Professionals Forum. She is also a member of the ECTP-CEU's Charter Participatory Democracy in Spatial Planning and currently serves as an editor for the Built Environment journal. She has been engaged with the UK2070 Commission and is a member of the steering group for Territoire Europe. Natarajan has held various academic and non-academic positions since joining UCL in January 2013 and contributes to collaborative projects and outreach initiatives. Her work aligns with Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in sustainable cities and communities.
