Dr. Ludvig Edman

Biography

Ludvig Edman leads a research group focused on the development of advanced photonic electronic devices, materials, and their functional sustainable applications. He holds the position of professor at Umeå University, where he investigates organic semiconductors and electrolytes. His group, the Organic Photonics Electronics Group, synthesizes materials in-house, collaborates with academic and commercial partners, and explores a broad range of advanced measurement techniques. His research aims to fabricate devices such as light-emitting electrochemical cells (LECs), organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), solar cells, and transistors. Edman's work is dedicated to enabling novel applications that enhance sustainability throughout the entire product lifecycle, from fabrication and operation to recycling.
