Biography

Ludvig Johan Torp Rasmussen is a PhD researcher at Aalborg University, focusing on creativity within the domain of Active Health. His research emphasizes applied perspectives of creativity in sports contexts, particularly ball games such as football. He is interested in how creativity influences continued sports participation and personal development among children and young people. His PhD dissertation, titled 'Role of Creativity in Sport', was defended in March 2020 and explored various conceptualizations of creativity, identifying 15 different understandings within the realm of football. In addition to his research, he has published a collection titled 'Creativity in Football', which outlines the significance of creative practices in enhancing youth sports experiences. As an Assistant Professor, he prioritizes creating dynamic and inspiring learning environments for his students, with a focus on student-led activities. His courses in the Sports Science program include Learning Sports Pedagogy, Coaching & Ball Games, and Sports Health Psychology. In recognition of his teaching efforts, he was awarded Teacher of the Year for the Faculty of Health at Aalborg University in 2022. His expertise is also aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in education and active participation in sports.
