Biography

Luis registered as a nurse in 2006 and has extensive clinical and academic experience in diverse national and international contexts. He joined King’s College London in October 2021 as a lecturer, having previously developed a career as a critical care nurse, mentor, practice educator, and charge nurse. Trained as a nurse in Portugal, Luis became an expert in critical care nursing and developed parallel expertise in teaching, leadership, and quality improvement. He continues to advance innovation in nursing practice, education, and policy, while promoting interdisciplinary collaboration on national and international levels.
