Biography

Lukas van den Berge is an assistant professor at the Institute of Jurisprudence and the Department of Constitutional Administrative Law at Utrecht University. He earned his PhD from Utrecht University in 2016. His research interests focus on constitutional administrative law, legal philosophy, and law and humanities. His recent contributions include various publications addressing critical aspects of legal philosophies and contemporary legal issues, including the challenges of administrative law in the wake of recent societal events, such as the childcare allowance scandal in the Netherlands. He has presented a range of courses and is committed to advancing legal scholarship through his publications and public engagement.
