Biography

Luke Valentine Maltby Dixon is a consultant neuroradiologist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and an honorary clinical research fellow in the Department of Surgery & Cancer at Imperial College London. His main research interests include neuro-oncology and vascular imaging, where he co-leads the translational brain tumor research group. He is particularly focused on the application of advanced, multiparametric intraoperative ultrasound for guiding brain tumor resections. Luke is currently undertaking a PhD on intraoperative ultrasound imaging in glioma surgery at Imperial College London. Additionally, he serves as the lead radiologist for the FUTURE GB Trial, a National Institute for Health Research-funded multicenter, randomized controlled trial that evaluates whether ultrasound diffusion tensor imaging can improve maximal safe surgical resection and quality of life for glioblastoma patients. Clinically, he frequently participates in multidisciplinary teams to report a wide range of neuroimaging studies, including advanced imaging techniques such as perfusion and tractography. Furthermore, he co-leads digital technology initiatives in imaging at his trust and lectures in neurosurgical imaging workshops for MSc national courses.
