Biography

Luna Khirfan is an Associate Professor in the School of Planning at the University of Waterloo, specializing in urban and regional planning. Her notable publications include contributions to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's Sixth Assessment Report and various peer-reviewed journal articles focusing on climate resilience, urban governance, and planning models across different contexts. Dr. Khirfan actively supervises graduate students and engages in projects aimed at enhancing urban environments through innovative design and adaptation strategies.
