Biography

Lyn obtained a BSc and PhD in Psychology from the University of Exeter and completed a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the Institute of Psychology, Psychiatry and Neuroscience at King's College London. She began her academic career at Royal Holloway, University of London as a Lecturer in Clinical Psychology in 2007, where she progressed to Senior Lecturer in 2014 and Reader in 2018. Lyn joined the University of Southampton in 2022. Her research interests primarily focus on psychosis, specifically in the areas of paranoia in the general population, understanding persecutory delusions, and the role of mindfulness in psychosis. Lyn is currently accepting applications for PhD students and is involved in projects evaluating the effectiveness of mindfulness-based therapy in community mental health settings. She is also a reviewer for the journal 'Psychology Psychotherapy: Theory, Research and Practice'.
