Biography

Lyn Power is an Associate Professor and the Undergraduate Program Director in the Discipline of Family Medicine at Memorial University of Newfoundland. With a medical degree from the Class of 1996, she has been instrumental in developing rural clinical education programs, specifically the Family Medicine Project Enhanced Rural Remote Training (PERRT) postgraduate training program. Dr. Power has been a significant advocate for the Burin Family Practice in Newfoundland and has led efforts to enhance training opportunities for residents in rural settings. Her faculty interests include longitudinal clerkships, and she has worked on piloting extended clerkship rotations in Burin.
