Biography

Lynn Acton is a practicing speech-language pathologist with over 35 years of experience. Her specialty areas include the evaluation and treatment of voice and swallowing disorders, as well as the rehabilitation of patients with head and neck cancer. Lynn obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in speech pathology and audiology from the College of New Jersey and her Master of Science degree in communication disorders from Pennsylvania State University. She began her career at John F. Kennedy Medical Center in Edison, NJ, and in 2002, joined the Yale Head and Neck Program. As a lecturer in surgery (otolaryngology) at Yale School of Medicine, she works to refine and share clinical approaches to improve the quality of life for individuals facing communication challenges.
