Biography

Lynn Rothschild is an astrobiologist and synthetic biologist at NASA Ames, specializing in molecular approaches to evolution, particularly in microbes and the application of synthetic biology to NASA's mission. She established a synthetic biology program at NASA in 2008, contributing to various high-profile projects including the PowerCell payload on DLR's Eu:CROPIS satellite and as a co-investigator for ESA's BIOMEX experiment on the International Space Station.
