Biography

Lynn C. Waelde is an Adjunct Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine and Professor Emeritus in the Psychology Department at Palo Alto University. Her collaborative publications explore the impacts of traumatic events and the use of mindfulness meditation to promote resilience and recovery from stress trauma. Over the past 15 years, she founded and directed the Inner Resources Center, which has offered intervention groups and training to thousands of participants, clients, and therapists. Waelde is the author of 'Mindfulness Meditation Trauma Treatment: Inner Resources Stress Program', published in 2022, and has taken a special interest in family caregivers through the Inner Resources Stress program, also known as the Practice of the Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging. She coauthored the upcoming 'Family Caregiver Distress', set to publish in 2023, and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Traumatic Stress as an Associate Editor for mindfulness.
