Dr. Lynn Wilson

Biography

Lynn Wilson, MD, MPH, is a board-certified radiation oncologist and Executive Vice Chairman of Yale Medicine’s Therapeutic Radiology Department. He provides expert care to patients with cutaneous lymphoma and breast cancer at Smilow Cancer Hospital in New Haven. With a primary goal of effectively treating patients while minimizing the side effects of radiation treatment, Dr. Wilson emphasizes the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration among specialists. His clinical expertise includes the specialized techniques necessary for providing palliative care and substantial pain relief, highlighting Yale's recognition as a national and international destination for patients with cutaneous lymphoma. His research focuses on treatment-related outcomes and disparities in clinical outcomes for various cancers, particularly cutaneous lymphoma, lung, and breast cancers. Dr. Wilson actively engages in understanding these disparities, working to address critical issues affecting patient care. He is a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology Board of Directors and has held numerous leadership positions within Yale Medicine, contributing extensively to quality improvement initiatives and operational standards.
