Lysanne Lessard received her Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of Toronto's Faculty of Information and holds a Master's degree (M.Sc.) in Information Technology from Téluq - Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), as well as a B.A. in Communications from UQAM. Her research has been funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Nature et technologies (FQRNT), and the Ontario Graduate Scholarship Program (OGS). She currently holds a grant from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). Professor Lessard's research is published in prominent journals including Requirements Engineering, Software Systems Modeling, Implementation Science, and IEEE Software. Her research interests center on the design of digitally enabled services, which includes telehealth services and other platforms that leverage advances in information and communication technologies (ICTs). The core aim of these services is to address human needs through human-to-machine and human-to-human interactions facilitated by ICTs. Her focus is on establishing improved models and socio-technical architectures that contribute to creating value through service systems. She also teaches undergraduate courses in Management Information Systems and coordinates instruction in both French and English MBA programs at the Telfer School of Management.
