Dr. M Meyerand

Biography

M. Elizabeth Meyerand is the Vilas Distinguished Achievement Professor in the Department of Medical Physics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She also serves as the Associate Dean of the Graduate School. Dr. Meyerand holds a PhD in Biophysics from the Medical College of Wisconsin, where she has made significant contributions to the field of medical physics and biomedical engineering. Her academic journey includes a BS in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University and an MS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Meyerand’s research focuses on the development of innovative imaging techniques and treatment methods in medical physics, addressing crucial challenges in patient care and advancing the field's understanding of biophysical processes. She has contributed to numerous publications in her area of expertise and is recognized for her commitment to academic excellence and mentoring the next generation of scientists and medical physicists.
