Dr. Maame Yiadom

Biography

Maame Yaa B. Yiadom is an Associate Professor in Emergency Medicine at Stanford University, focusing on clinical operations, care delivery, and strategic care delivery re-engineering. She employs routinely collected clinical data to inform precise decision-making in clinical care and explores novel digital health pathways utilizing artificial intelligence. Dr. Yiadom completed her medical education at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, obtained a Master of Public Health from Harvard, and received additional health policy training at Johns Hopkins. She furthered her residency at Mass General Brigham Women's Hospitals and earned a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation from Vanderbilt University. As a Principal Investigator at the Stanford Emergency Care Health Services Research Data Coordinating Center, her research aims to apply evidence-based medicine to optimize clinical operations focused on time-sensitive conditions like STEMI. Her methodologies include clinical practice epidemiology and workflow variability analysis. Dr. Yiadom also serves as the Founding Director of the Emergency Department Operations Study Group and is a Board Director at the Emergency Department Benchmarking Alliance, emphasizing her leadership in emergency medicine.
