Biography

Maarten de Boer is a Professor at Carnegie Mellon University with a courtesy appointment in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and Materials Science from the University of Minnesota in 1996. His research focuses on the processing and nanomechanical behavior of new materials, including the design, fabrication, testing, and characterization of micromachined test platforms.
