Biography

Professor Maarten IJzerman is an internationally recognized leader in cancer health services research and biomedical innovation. He serves as the Dean of the Erasmus School of Health Policy & Management and holds a professorship in Cancer Health Services Research. He has been recognized as one of the top 2% of cited scientists worldwide and has contributed to various high-level research evaluation panels for the European Commission and other countries. Maarten received his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Twente and his MSc in Biomedical Sciences from Radboud University Nijmegen, along with executive training in Health Economics and Corporate Finance.
