Biography

Maarten Paulides is a Full Professor and Chair of the Care & Cure research lab within the Electromagnetics group at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). He also serves as the Scientific Director of the Center for Care and Cure Technology Eindhoven (C3Te), operating in the departments of Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics at TU/e. Paulides' research focuses on the validation of hyperthermia applications to enhance the effectiveness of cancer treatments, particularly for head and neck tumors. Since 2018, his research has expanded to bioelectromagnetic approaches in oncology and neurostimulation, leading to novel treatment devices and patient-specific simulation technology. Paulides holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from TU/e and a PhD in Health Medical Physics from Erasmus University Rotterdam. He has an extensive academic background that includes serving as a research associate and various teaching positions at TU/e. He has collaborated with numerous prestigious international research institutions and contributes actively to several editorial boards and advisory committees in the field of medical physics.
