Dr. Maciej Mazurowski

Biography

Maciej Mazurowski is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Duke University, where he also serves in the Duke Cancer Institute. His research primarily focuses on the application of machine learning techniques to medical imaging, emphasizing the development of algorithms for image segmentation and analysis. Mazurowski has published extensively in prominent journals, contributing insights on automated detection of diseases through imaging modalities, including MRI and CT scans. His work spans various aspects of radiology, including deep learning approaches for identifying and predicting disease progression in patients. Throughout his career, he has participated in numerous studies aimed at enhancing diagnostic accuracy and reducing interobserver variability in radiological interpretations.
