Biography

Professor Maciej Tomaszewski is a clinician-scientist with a focus on cardiovascular renal disease, specifically hypertension. He co-leads the Integrative Cardiovascular Medicine Theme at the NIHR Manchester Biomedical Research Centre and serves as the Deputy Director of the British Heart Foundation Manchester Centre of Research Excellence. His influential role in the field extends to membership in several professional bodies including the Scientific Council of the International Society of Hypertension. He has published works in prominent journals and has a strong focus on basic research related to genetic mechanisms affecting cardiovascular renal diseases.
