Biography

Madeleine Rådinger is a Professor at the Institute of Medicine, University of Gothenburg. She graduated with an MSc in Molecular Biology and obtained her PhD in Respiratory Medicine and Allergology from the University of Gothenburg in 2006. Following her doctoral studies, she spent 2.5 years in a postdoctoral position at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, part of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, USA. Rådinger returned to the University of Gothenburg in 2010 and became an Associate Professor in Immunology in 2013. Her research focuses on understanding the immune system in asthma subgroups, particularly the role of immune regulatory microRNAs. She aims to identify molecular drivers associated with the clinical features of asthma to support targeted therapies. Rådinger's work has been funded by various organizations, including the Swedish Research Council and the Swedish Heart Lung Foundation. She collaborates with national and international research groups in immunology and respiratory research. In 2019, she received a significant grant from the Swedish Association for Allergy Research to further her studies in environmental medicine.
