Biography

Madelyne Bisby is a Senior Lecturer and Clinical Psychologist at Macquarie University. Her research aims to understand the 'active ingredients' in existing psychological treatments and to utilize this knowledge to develop new ultra-brief psychological interventions that can enhance access to evidence-based mental healthcare. She has provided free psychological treatments to hundreds of Australian adults participating in clinical trials of these digital ultra-brief treatments. Madelyne serves as the Director of the Faculty of Medicine, Health, and Human Sciences early career researcher network, EnCouRage, where she actively supports and advocates for early career researchers in her faculty. Furthermore, she is a senior member of the eCentreClinic's Digital Research Centre and serves as an Executive Member of the Lifespan Health and Wellbeing Research Centre. She has received external funding as the principal chief investigator on multiple projects aimed at improving treatment uptake for psychological conditions such as anxiety and depression.
