Dr. Mads Sørensen

Biography

Mads P. Sørensen is a Professor at Aarhus University in the Danish Centre for Studies in Research Policy. His current research focuses on Social Theory, Research Integrity, Research Ethics, and Research Policy. He seeks to contribute to the understanding of the research ecosystem and continues to engage in international collaborative projects that address pressing integrity and ethical challenges within academia. Mads has been awarded multiple national and international research grants, and his leadership experience includes successful coordination and leadership roles in major Horizon Europe and Horizon 2020 projects, such as SOPs4RI and TRUSTparency, which focus on enhancing research integrity and the reproducibility of scientific results. He has conducted evaluations and commissioned studies for various national and international institutions. Mads works in interdisciplinary projects, specializing in qualitative methods, individual interviews, focus groups, and expert workshops. He teaches a wide range of subjects, including social theory and the evolution of political and economic thought, and is actively involved in supervising PhD students and mentoring early-career researchers.
