Mae-ling Lokko is an architectural scientist, designer, and educator focused on intersectoral design research and biobased materials aimed at driving ecological health and generative justice goals. She is the founder of Willow, a venture based in Ghana that seeks to develop academic-community research partnerships to implement architectural projects. Lokko's exhibitions have been displayed at prestigious venues including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Stedelijk Museum in the Netherlands. She holds a Ph.D. and a Master of Science in Architectural Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Bachelor of Arts from Tufts University.
