Biography

Maegan received her PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology in 2023. Prior to her doctorate, she completed her M.S. at Caltech in 2019 and her B.S. at Georgia Tech in 2017. After graduating with her PhD, Maegan undertook a brief postdoctoral position at Caltech from May to August 2023, followed by a short research role at Disney Research from September to December 2023. Her research interests are positioned at the intersection of control theory and human-robot interaction, with a specific focus on applications related to lower-limb assistive devices. Central to her research is the question: 'What is the right way to walk?'. In her free time, Maegan enjoys solving puzzles, playing video games, and playing the piano.
