Biography

Maëlic Neau is a Postdoctoral researcher with a focus on Machine Learning and Robotics. He has an extensive academic background, having received a dual PhD from Flinders University in Australia and ENIB school in France. Maëlic's current research within the WASP Postdoc program is in the Spatial Reasoning lab under the supervision of Zoe Falomir. His research interests include Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Knowledge Representation, and applied Social Robotics. He aims to represent high-level, abstract content in images and videos, capturing human activities and goals. Maëlic is also noted for his leadership in robotics, having been a world champion in the international competition RoboCup@Home for the RoboBreizh team in 2022 and 2023.
