Maeve Ngiyampaa woman grew up in Sydney and Canberra with links to western New South Wales. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the Australian National University in 2014 and completed a Master of Philosophy in Indigenous Studies at the Arctic University of Norway in Tromsø in 2017. In 2016, she undertook the Indigenous Studies Summer Program at Columbia University in New York. Her research interests include spatial decolonization, urban Indigenous belonging, and digital story mapping in relation to Indigenous education.
