Magali Dam-Mazzi was born and raised in Peru and has traveled extensively, experiencing firsthand the challenges inherent in the resettlement process. She has contributed to the field through her publications, notably a book co-authored in 2022 titled 'Voces de la pandemia: Stories written during the COVID-19 pandemic by the Hispanic Community in Atlantic Canada.'
