Biography

Magnus Wiktorsson is a professor of production logistics at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. He has an extensive academic background, having obtained his MSc in 1995 and PhD in 2000 from KTH. Wiktorsson has over five years of experience as a consultant for industrial customers and served as a program leader at VINNOVA from 2005 to 2010, focusing on research funding for product production development. His leadership roles included being the vice-dean at Mälardalen University’s School and pro-dean for research. Wiktorsson relocated to KTH in November 2017 as a professor at the KTH Campus in Södertälje, subsequently leading the departments of Sustainable Production Development and Production Engineering. He engages in national manufacturing initiatives, such as Net Zero Industry and Produktion2030, and has played a crucial role in establishing various centers for industry-academy collaboration. Wiktorsson is currently involved in significant research projects related to Production Technologies and Circular Factories, as well as national initiatives in battery technology.
