M. Mahdi Roozbahani is a lecturer in the School of Computational Science and Engineering and the School of Computing Instruction at Georgia Tech. He is the founder of Filio, a centralized cloud-based platform that efficiently organizes site photos using a mobile web application. He initiated the Create-X incubator program. Roozbahani received his Ph.D. in Computational Science Engineering in 2019 under the supervision of Prof. David Frost at Georgia Tech. His research interests include modeling and simulation, network analysis, and machine learning. He earned master's degrees in Computational Science Engineering and Civil Environmental Engineering from Georgia Tech, as well as a degree in Geotechnical Engineering from Universiti Putra Malaysia. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Iran University of Science and Technology, receiving an award for the best final year bachelor project among all students. He is a recipient of the Jean-Lou Chameau Research Excellence Award and the Graduate Research Poster Award at the Geosystem Poster Symposium, and he was recognized for outstanding research and volunteer efforts at the CBBG center. He was awarded an NSF IRES fellowship for a global internship program at Ecole des Ponts in Paris. His papers were selected as one of the top five featured papers in the cover issue of the Materials Journal in 2017 and he has published ten journal and conference papers.
