Biography

Mahdieh S. Sadabadi is a lecturer in the Power Systems Group at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Manchester, United Kingdom. Previously, she held academic positions at Queen Mary University of London and the University of Sheffield, as well as serving as a research associate in the Computational and Biological Learning Group at Trinity College, Cambridge. She obtained her Ph.D. in Control Systems from Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL) in February 2016. Sadabadi has also been a postdoctoral fellow at the Division of Automatic Control at Linkoping University, Sweden. Her research interests primarily lie in robust fixed-structure control of large-scale uncertain systems and networked control systems, with applications related to power grids and microgrids. She has been actively engaged in several professional memberships and research collaborations. In 2020, she received the Outstanding Paper Award at the IEEE Global Power, Energy, Communication Conference for her significant contributions to the field.
