Biography

Dr. Mahesh Jayaraman obtained his Bachelor of Science and Medical Doctor degrees from Brown University. He completed his post-graduate training in residency in Diagnostic Imaging at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital from 1999 to 2003. Following that, he trained in Diagnostic Neuroradiology from 2003 to 2004, and then in Interventional Neuroradiology from 2004 to 2006 at Stanford University. He returned to the Brown faculty in 2006 and currently practices at Rhode Island Hospital. Dr. Jayaraman chairs the Department of Diagnostic Imaging at Brown and is the Chief of Diagnostic Imaging at Lifespan. He oversees clinical and academic research efforts in a department consisting of over 70 faculty members and 40 trainees. His current research focuses on improving patient outcomes after acute ischemic stroke.
