Biography

Mahesh Kate is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Alberta and a Neurologist with Alberta Health Services. His research focuses on secondary stroke prevention, developing sustainable interventions aimed at improving outcomes for stroke patients. He leads the Young Stroke Prevention Clinic at the Kaye Edmonton Clinic, where he examines stroke risk across varying demographics, with a keen interest in age and sex differences in stroke outcomes.
