Biography

Mahnu Davar is an adjunct professor at Penn Carey Law, with a strong focus on administrative, regulatory, and compliance law, as well as health law. He serves as a partner at Arnold & Porter, co-chairing the firm’s Lifesciences Healthcare Regulatory practice. His legal expertise involves counseling lawyers, compliance officers, and business leaders in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical technology, and clinical diagnostics industries, specifically in matters of regulatory compliance. This includes navigating FDA clearance and approval strategies and conducting sensitive internal investigations related to product quality and data integrity. Davar graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School in 2007, additionally earning a Master’s degree in Bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania Medical School. He has also taught as a Legal Writing Instructor for third-year law students at Penn Law. Outside of his academic career, he has worked as a pro bono consultant for the Penn Center for Technology Transfer and was part of the semi-finalist team in the Wharton Business Plan Competition while achieving honors at Johns Hopkins University where he graduated with Phi Beta Kappa. His experiences include traveling to India as a Fulbright Scholar prior to joining law school.
