Dr. Mahrukh Shah

Biography

Mahrukh Shah is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Yale School of Medicine, specializing in Pediatric Pulmonology, Allergy, Immunology, and Sleep Medicine. Dr. Shah received her medical degree from Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences in Pakistan and completed her residency training in pediatrics at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center. She then pursued a fellowship in pediatric pulmonology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Her clinical focus involves treating children with various respiratory conditions, including asthma, cystic fibrosis, interstitial lung diseases, and bronchopulmonary dysplasia. Additionally, she has a special interest in childhood interstitial lung disorders, primary ciliary dyskinesia, bronchiectasis, and airway metabolomics. With a commitment to advancing the field of pediatric pulmonology, Dr. Shah actively engages in medical research, particularly related to her areas of clinical expertise.
