Dr. Mahtab Eshaghbeigi Hosseini

Biography

Mahtab Eshaghbeigi-Hosseini is a trained sociologist with 14 years of experience working in development and career guidance at municipal, regional, and national levels in Denmark. She focuses on policy formulation and method competence development. Since 2017, her work has emphasized the development of workplace experience placements, with a particular focus on broadening young people's career horizons. Her doctoral study titled 'Bodies, Emotions and Workplace Experience Placements' examines how educational choices affect bodily and emotional experiences in school-based workplace placements. This research addresses a gap in internationally limited studies of workplace experience placements (prao), particularly in the Swedish context, by adopting a qualitatively oriented, posthumanism-based methodology that highlights the affective dimensions of young people's learning experiences. As a member of research groups focused on Education Policy and Youth Transitions, her work contributes significantly to both workplace experience placements research and the broader field of career guidance.
