Biography

Mai Elezaby, MD is an associate professor of radiology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and serves as the section chief of Breast Imaging Intervention. She graduated from Cairo University Faculty of Medicine in Cairo, Egypt, and completed her Diagnostic Radiology residency there as well as a fellowship in Breast Imaging Intervention at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. Elezaby's academic focus is on promoting breast imaging education and conducting outreach on a national and global scale. Her clinical practice emphasizes improving access to and the performance of screening and diagnostic breast imaging services, with a strong intention to close the gap between routine practices and national benchmarks. A strong advocate for global outreach in radiology education, she is the director of the Online Learning Center at RAD-AID International, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting radiology program development and education in global outreach initiatives.
