Biography

Mai Thy Truong, MD, is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. She serves as Clinic Chief and Fellowship Director at Stanford Children's Hospital, focusing on the dedicated Microtia Atresia Clinic, providing care for the reconstructive and rehabilitative needs of children with microtia and canal atresia. She then attended medical school at the University of California, Irvine before completing her residency in Otolaryngology at Stanford University Hospital and fellowship training in Pediatric Otolaryngology at Stanford Children's Hospital. She also underwent post-graduate training in Auricular reconstruction and microtia repair with Dr. Francoise Firmin in Paris, France. Dr. Truong is proficient in conversational Spanish and Vietnamese, and she believes strongly in the importance of respect and diversity among humankind. She is a native of the Bay Area and appreciates its uniqueness.
