Dr. Maja Artandi

Biography

Maja Artandi is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine at Stanford University, specializing in Primary Care and Population Health. Recognized for her leadership in Primary Care, she has pioneered innovative methods to enhance healthcare delivery and education. Dr. Artandi possesses a robust clinical background and has received multiple educational leadership awards throughout her career. Her expertise encompasses the development and implementation of medical curricula focused on patient-physician interactions, emphasizing critical skills such as communication and physical examination. As a dedicated Primary Care physician educator, she is actively involved in mentoring students, residents, and colleagues, and currently leads the mentorship program at the Division of Primary Care Population Health. She is also engaged in obtaining executive coaching certification through the Advancing Communication Excellence Program at Stanford. Her leadership roles include Co-Director of the Primary Care education program and Medical Director positions within Stanford's clinics. The awards she has garnered reflect her commitment to medical education and exceptional clinical services. Dr. Artandi is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in Edinburgh and the American College of Physicians, and plays a vital role in the Northern California chapter as the Wellness chair.
