Biography

Maja Cassidy is a Senior Lecturer and an ARC DECRA Fellow at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), specializing in applied physics with a focus on developing new technologies integrated into future quantum computing sensor systems. She completed her Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (Hons 1) at UNSW and went on to Harvard University, where she achieved both her Master's degree and PhD in Applied Physics. Maja's research includes cutting-edge projects in microwave quantum optics and quantum sensor systems. She has extensive experience in quantum hardware integration, having spent five years as a Principal Research Manager at Microsoft Quantum.
