Biography

Maja Krtalić is an Associate Professor in Information Studies programmes at the School of Information Management at Te Herenga Waka — Victoria University of Wellington. She was previously an assistant professor at the University of Osijek in Croatia from 2004 to 2017. Maja received her PhD in Information Sciences in 2010 from the University of Zadar in Croatia. Her teaching focuses on records management, digital curation, and information access and use. Her research interests include information behavior, personal information management, and cultural heritage preservation. Currently, she is involved in several projects including studies on tattoo information, information behavior among immigrants and refugees, and multilingual personal information management. Maja also investigates the preservation and presentation of hidden heritage through personal collections.
